One of the key features of any agile software development methodology, and Smart in particular, is immediate visibility of project progress. In Smart we attend to the ADP Dashboard for showing this progress.
 Agile dashboard |
The ADP Agile Dashboard show all
work items, both project work items and smart use cases. All of these work items go through the steps of Smart's
work item lifecycle. Continuously, the progress of the project is monitored. When the status of one of the work items changes, this is reported to the dashboard. One of the nice features of the dashboard is that every night the progress of the project is automatically extracted, and exported in a project
burn down chart.
The agile dashboard is located at:

The goal is to get all the workitems on the right of the dashboard (accepted). Each work item has to pass the stages. Pick up the items from right to left. So first pick up an item in stage 'rework'. If this stage is empty pick up an item in stage 'working' and so on.

Team working on estimate
I often tell the team the simple project goal and way of work:
Move all the workitems from left to right by working from right to left

In a couple of projects I added the stage 'Next Iteration Proposal'. During the iteration a idea is developed about which workitems are handy to plan in the next iteration. During the planning meeting the User (representatives) and or sponsors will decide the workitems for the next iteration possibly helped with the 'next iteration proposal' workitems.
